Privacy Policy

We collect what the service needs to work:

Your files are stored on our servers so we can process them and show you the results in your history. To produce a result we send the file, or text taken from it, to the processing providers listed below.

We do not use your files or the text generated from them to train our own models, and we do not sell them.

A file uploaded without an account is not tied to any account: its result opens only through the private link created for it, which carries a random key. Anyone you give that link to can open the result, so share it carefully. Sign in before uploading if you want a file kept under your account.

We use what we collect to:

A small number of providers help us run Totxt. Each receives only what it needs for its part of the service, processes it under its own terms, and may keep it briefly for security and abuse prevention:

Payments are handled by MonoPay. We never receive your full card number. We store the invoice identifier, the amount, the payment status, the masked card number and a payment token that allows a renewal to be charged to the card you saved. We also log the payment notifications MonoPay sends us.

If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to see how the site is used: which pages are visited, roughly from where, and on what kind of device. Nothing is loaded from Google and no analytics cookie is set unless you accept.

You can change your mind at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page.

Separately, we record the product events described above on our own servers to operate and debug the service. Those stay with us, are not shared with an advertising network, and do not use cookies.

We use as little browser storage as we can:

We keep your account and its results while your account exists, so your history stays available to you.

The service is configured to delete the original uploaded file some time after a job finishes, and to delete whole jobs, including the generated text, some time after that. We do not state fixed periods here, because they are configurable and may change.

You can delete individual jobs from your account page at any time, which removes the job and the stored file. To delete your whole account, email i@totxt.ai.

Payment and billing records are kept for as long as we need them for accounting and to handle disputes. Backups are kept for a limited period, so deleted data can remain in a backup for a while after it disappears from the service.

Traffic to Totxt is encrypted with HTTPS, and reaching the data in an account requires that account's sign-in token. No online service can be completely secure, so please treat result links as sensitive and think before uploading material you cannot risk exposing.

Our providers operate in several countries, including the United States and countries in the European Union. Using Totxt means your files and account data may be processed outside the country where you live.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to receive a copy, to object to some processing, or to complain to your local data protection authority. To make a request, email i@totxt.ai from the address on your account.

A file uploaded without an account is not linked to you, so we cannot recognise it as yours — send us the result link and we will delete it.

Totxt is not intended for children. If you are below the age at which you can agree to data processing where you live, please do not use Totxt without a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and we will make a reasonable effort to tell you about significant changes.
