About Totxt.ai
Totxt turns media into useful text. Upload a recording, a video or a picture, and get back text you can read, search, correct and export.
What you can upload
Totxt works with three kinds of file:
- audio recordings — interviews, calls, lectures, voice notes;
- video files, where the soundtrack is what gets transcribed;
- images containing text — photos of documents, screenshots, scans.
What you get back
Depending on the file, Totxt can produce:
- a transcript of what was said, or the text found in an image;
- a speaker-separated transcript, where the recording makes it possible to tell voices apart;
- a translation of the result into another language;
- a transliteration, rewriting text from another script in Latin letters;
- a summary of longer material;
- exports as TXT, HTML, DOCX or PDF.
Languages
Totxt handles many languages and detects the language of each file on its own, instead of assuming one — which helps when you work across languages. Detection is not perfect: an unusual accent, a noisy recording or a very short clip can be read as the wrong language.
Accuracy
Every result is produced automatically, so mistakes happen — background noise, people talking over each other, strong accents and low-quality scans all make them more likely. Transcripts can be edited in the app, and anything you plan to rely on is worth checking first.
Plans
You can try Totxt without an account. A free account includes 60 minutes of transcription a month, and paid plans add more minutes, longer files and larger uploads. The details are on the Pricing page.
